Skippers Canyon

Skippers Canyon is a handsome chunky loop pile finish, crafted using our New Zealand felted wool. The wool yarn felting process and rug/carpet manufacturing are both carried out here in Christchurch. As known from the experience, 100% felted wool style is the best choice for rugs and carpet. It is not only the best fibre for design and performance on the floor, but it is also 100% natural, biodegradable and renewable. Today’s architecture produces homes and offices with many hard surfaces, so the rich wool loop style like Skippers Canyon naturally improves the warmth and acoustics, shaping cosier rooms as a result.

A natural sheen is produced on the yarn through the felting process of the wool fibres. This, coupled with the sturdy tough properties of the yarn, makes Skippers Canyon a good choice for all high-traffic areas. Being able to choose your own carpet colour excites many home buyers, designers and specifiers as ‘off-the-roll’ carpets tend to be much more limiting. 

Some felted loop pile carpets available have been felted to a softer felt resulting in pilling and evidence of pile crush. Our yarn is made to CRONZ unique specifications to produce rugs and carpet that will not shed or crush.
