Divine is amongst our most luxurious products, made from a combination of spun mulberry silk yarn and NZ wool yarn. Softness, luscious sheen and strength is what silk is known for, tufted with NZ wool, the best quality wool worldwide, are the makeup of Divine.
The percentages of silk and wool can be varied to suit the application and budget. Our most popular combinations are 50/50 silk to wool and 90/10 silk to wool. The silk and wool are dyed in the same colour but as the light reflects differently off of the two yarns there is a soft stipple created across. This is more evident in the 90/10 mix. The 90/10 mix was developed to give the silk structure a little more stability when compared to 100% silk. The 50/50 blend was built for the slightly higher traffic areas where the benefits of using renowned strong NZ wool is advised to support the silk yarn. The properties of silk are desired as the most prestigious floor covering available. We recommend this for the intimate and the formal areas of the home.
