NZ House & Garden’s “Home of the Month” section in the August 2024 issue showcases a stunning Auckland bungalow with a rich history. In collaboration with designer Janice Kumar-Ward of JKW, we supplied two exquisite rugs. These pieces seamlessly blend modern elegance with the home's heritage, adding a touch of colour and sophistication to its timeless architecture.

The article celebrates the vibrant transformation of a unique 1929 arts and crafts bungalow, originally constructed with red brick imported from Melbourne and designed with elements of federation-style architecture. The current owners have skillfully blended contemporary design with the home's historical character, creating spaces that honour its heritage while introducing fresh, dynamic elements.

Collaborating closely with designer Janice Kumar-Ward, we were tasked with adding the perfect finishing touches to this elegant home. For the lounge, we crafted our Sunburst rug—a 3D sculpted cut pile masterpiece that adds texture and depth to the space. In the family room, we introduced a custom plaid-patterned rug, thoughtfully designed to mirror the square grid of the coffered ceiling. Both rugs are made from 100% New Zealand wool, embodying our commitment to quality and design excellence.
