Abode Magazine - July/August 2024

Our recent collaboration with Armstrong Interiors has been featured in the July/August issue of Abode magazine, highlighting a vibrant and personality-filled townhouse on the edge of Hagley Park in Christchurch.

In this architecturally designed townhouse, a young family's love for colour and fun was beautifully captured by the talented Angelique Armstrong and her team. The project involved a bold redesign that retained existing fixtures while introducing custom joinery, specialty wallpapers, feature lighting, bespoke furniture, curated artworks, and carefully selected rugs.

At CRONZ, we had the pleasure of designing and creating two custom runners made from 100% New Zealand wool, specifically for this project. Working closely with Angelique and her team, we developed unique geometric patterns that seamlessly integrated with the home's vibrant aesthetic. These runners not only add a touch of luxury but also embody the lively spirit of the homeowners, providing a perfect balance of bold colours and intricate designs.

Here is an excerpt from the Abode magazine article that beautifully describes the overall project:

"Take one step inside this architecturally designed townhouse on the edge of Hagley Park in Otautahi Christchurch, and it’s immediately clear who lives here – a laidback young family with personality and flair. The first hint is a standout two-storey mural in the entranceway, and that playful aesthetic continues throughout. Bringing this family’s vision to life was architectural interior designer Angelique Armstrong of Armstrong Interiors. 'They had just moved over from Australia,' says Angelique. 'They love colour, and for them, life is fun so they wanted to embrace that. They didn’t want to live anywhere boring.' Angelique’s approach focused on creating a bold yet welcoming environment.“

We are proud to have contributed to such a creative and inspiring project, bringing joy and personality into every corner of this beautiful home.
